San Salvador outrebounded Santa Tecla 48-28 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Anisleidy Galindo notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and Adriana Rivas (176-1996) supported her with 31 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Even a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds by Ecuadorian center Genesis Zabaleta (180-2002) did not help to save the game for Santa Tecla . Guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) added 14 points for the hosts.
